BizzThemes Simplified and Frameworked
November 11, 2010
Our site has been simplified and updated to the latest web standards and uses the latest BizzThemes framework as the backbone. Playing with drag & drop functionality has been fun and really fast. I managed to updated the whole site in just 3 days, which is quite amazing if you consider there is aMember and bbPress integrations included.
BuddyPress is gone
Yes, BuddyPress is gone for numerous reasons: usability, lack of usage and complex support structure. I’d say lack of usage has been the greatest factor for ditching and even though it’s a great piece of software, it doesn’t work well for support related issues.
Built on top of Me’gusta theme | framework
I’ve used Me’gusta for the update and it went pretty smooth. There wasn’t much to change with the design and the core of Me’gusta theme is also intact. All was managed with a simple drag & drop functionality, which combined with hierarchical structure, allowed me to build all pages in a few minutes.
Cleaner & Faster
I took a great effort to simplify our site design and make it more usable. I merged similar links and ditched unnecessary support categories, which are now merged into Docs and Forums. Docs will be populated with installation guides and usage articles, whereas Forums will be used to handle your support queries.
