Today’s update 2.2 for WooCommerce Appointments plugin finally brings the much awaited Google Calendar synchronization improvements. 2-way synchronization is now bullet-proof and works even if your site is not encrypted and configured with SSL certificate. We also introduced a lot of other improvements, more below.
Google Calendar Sync 2.0
Synchronization now happens on three levels:
- Live sync – performed live (when change occurs).
- Full sync – performed each day.
- Incremental sync – performed each hour.
If your site is encrypted and registered with a valid SSL certificate, sync is live. Another major improvement is the introduction of synchronization to specific Google Calendar ID (previously, each product synced to automatically create Google calendar). All events, created inside Google Calendar will sync back to your site and that time period will become unavailable for all the products.
Besides more reliable and easier to configure synchronization, synced data is more detailed and you can figure out the customer and services right from your Google Calendar.
Events, created inside Google Calendar are synced back to your site and these slots will become unavailable for all your products instantly. Appointments created on your site and edited inside Google Calendar will also sync back with update information.
Improved Calendar Day View
You can now easily see appointments for your staff members side-by-side. Instead of switching between each staff member, you can see all appointments for all staff members at once.
Min and Max Quantity
You can now define how many customers you want to accept for each appointment. If you will service groups of people, you can also define minimum amount required for booking. Min and Max amount limit the number of people allowed per each booking, while capacity acts as overall inventory of slots available.
